This job involves using virtual tools to plan, design, and inspect piping systems for ships at a naval shipyard in Hawaii, focusing on nuclear and non-nuclear setups.
You'll interpret drawings, check work sites, ensure quality, and collaborate with engineering teams to solve technical problems.
It's a good fit for experienced pipefitters who enjoy independent work with technical drawings and have a background in ship repair or manufacturing.
You will serve as a PIPEFITTER (VIRTUAL LAYOUT) in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT (c900) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
