Job Description
This Part-time Clerk position will be performing a variety of basic clerical office functions, which may include typing; filing; copying; faxing; opening, sorting, and distributing mail; and performing other related activities. The ideal candidate will need a thorough understanding of the assigned area, and be flexible, all while providing exceptional customer service and working well under pressure.

Essential Duties
  • Greeting and assisting customers and the public in a front-desk setting
  • Answering and directing phone calls from the public
  • Informing the general public about services
  • Processing and entering data and creating simple documents
  • Performing office procedures and methods with applicable software
  • Operating office equipment, such as computers, faxes, etc.
  • Interacting with and assisting senior center participants for various functions, including scheduling transportation for participants, processing payments for classes and activities, and checking in seniors for lunch
Public Speaking Duties
  • Making announcements to large groups
  • Conducting tours of the senior center
Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job requires fingerprinting.
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Hourly rate
$15.75/hour

Minimum Qualifications
