Full Job Description
Under direction, is responsible for planning and coordinating the operations of assigned City parking facilities. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff.
This position is an "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

Work Hours
8:00am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday; work schedule may include occasional shift adjustments for nights, weekends, holidays, and events as needed.
Requirements
- Approves work schedules for all shifts.
- Develops and maintains training and operational manuals for city facility ambassadors and supervisors.
- Interviews, hires, and trains new city facility ambassadors and supervisors.
- Maintains records on all parking operation activities.
- Coordinates with outside agencies to plan for the handling of large crowds for conventions and other activities.
- Implements management practices which allow for the personal growth of shift supervisors.
- Insures strict adherence to monetary control procedures.
- Reviews equipment and supply requirements and prepares justifications.
- Prepares safety and operational inspections of all parking facilities and develops procedures to alleviate theft.
- Prepares final reports to be used by outside agencies to correct discrepancies.
- Conducts Supervisor Training Meetings.
- Develops and maintains a preventive maintenance program on all equipment.
- Monitors financial reports to determine adverse collection trends, growth/decline of operations, and other issues.
- Accomplishes administrative duties to support the division.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in parking operations, retail business, or a service related industry. Experience processing payments and managing monetary transactions highly desirable.
- Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications- Front facing enforcement experience, law, code, parking, military
- Ability to work in a stressful multi-operational environment and de-escalate heightened situations.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for electronics and computer related circuits.
- Knowledge of computer programming.
Applicant InformationUnless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job.
One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months.
One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
