The Park Resource Ranger, under the supervision of the Asst.
Park Manager, is responsible for performing a variety of public safety and visitor services designed to promote the safe utilization of recreational facilities at a state park.
These duties are designed to protect park visitors, park facilities, and provide public contact.
Work includes meeting with park visitors to answer questions regarding park facilities, recreational schedules, park history, and environmental features; explaining park rules, regulations, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives to park visitors and special interest groups; preparing and delivering presentations to school groups, civic groups, sportsmen associations, and other special interest groups on State Parks rules, regulations, policies, procedures, goals, objectives, facilities, schedules, history, and environmental features.
