Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to maintain and repair facilities, trails, and equipment at Laurel Caverns State Park, ensuring the area stays safe and welcoming for visitors.
You'll plan projects, order supplies, and oversee everything from buildings to underground paths.
It's ideal for someone who loves the outdoors, has hands-on experience in trades like carpentry or plumbing, and enjoys supervising others in a natural setting.

As a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, repairs, planning, and supervision of Laurel Caverns State Park and trails, which consist of both above ground and underground pathways.
You will provide guidance and oversite for maintenance and trades positions engaged in the construction and maintenance of park facilities, and in the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Park repairs will be closely monitored and will involve building and infrastructure inventory and demolition, inclusive of the visitor center, maintenance shed, and various other historical buildings on site.
You will also supervise and maintain all ordering of park supplies and repairs for carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical needs in accordance with state contract purchasing policies and procedures.
Excellent organization skills are essential, as you will be planning, scheduling, and assigning projects to employees, in addition to developing employee performance evaluations (EPRs), and participating in the grievance process as necessary.
