The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is on the lookout for a personable, ambitious, and reliable professional to join the team as a Park Resource Ranger. This is an extraordinary opportunity in which you will play a vital role in the state parks Organized Group Camp (OGC) program.

Requirements
As a Park Resource Ranger at the Bureau of State Parks, Central Office, you will travel and collect data at each of our Organized Group Camp (OGC) parks and inventory of our 100’s of historic structures at Hickory Run, French Creek, Blue Knob, Laurel Hill, and Raccoon Creek state parks. You will perform data collection to include: interior and exterior photographs of structures; update inventory sheets of building specs at each structure; collect GPS points where needed; and evaluate project needs list for each structure (i.e. no utilities, broken door, broken window, leaking roof, other misc. damage, ADA needs).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a limited term, full-time position - 37.5 hours per week.
- Position will end October 31, 2026.
- Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
- Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- All employees must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
- In accordance with Act 153 of 2014 this position is required to complete Child Abuse, Criminal and Federal Criminal History Checks around the time of hire and thereafter every 5 years.
