As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will conduct a wide-range of indoor and outdoor maintenance and construction activities throughout Cowans Gap State Park.
Assignments will entail utilizing tools of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, and other building trades to complete repairs to structures and facilities and replace or install varied equipment and amenities.
Within this role, it is essential to safely operate park vehicles and equipment, in addition to assisting with the overall care, maintenance, and upkeep of the equipment used.
You will also tend to grounds maintenance to include mowing, weeding, planting, trash removal and restroom maintenance, debris management, and maintaining proper signage throughout the park.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for the general housekeeping and maintenance of park facilities, which includes cleaning and stocking restrooms, shower houses, offices, and pavilions.
Courteous communication skills may be employed to assist park visitors by providing general information in a friendly and helpful manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately March 2026 until October 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately in March 2027.
