Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for a range of maintenance, custodial, and record-keeping duties essential to the operation of Yellow Creek State Park. Your tasks will include cleaning restrooms, floors, and windows, as well as emptying trash cans, picking up litter, maintaining buildings, and restocking paper supplies. Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs on marina and park structures.

You will operate various types of equipment, including dump trucks, tractors, flatbed trucks, and other motorized vehicles as needed. Grass mowing will be conducted using both powered and manual tools, such as lawn tractors, hand mowers, and weed-eaters, alongside general landscaping and upkeep of forested and open areas.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026, until November 2026, at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
• Work shifts/days vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment:

• This position requires a Class C non-commercial drivers license.
