Requirements

In this position, you will engage in semi-skilled manual tasks to support the maintenance of operations and outdoor recreation at Nockamixon State Park. Your responsibilities will include working independently or alongside a skilled worker, utilizing lawn care equipment and various maintenance tools, including gas-powered hand tools, for a range of daily tasks. A significant portion of your role will involve custodial duties, such as cleaning latrines, cabins, and shower facilities, as well as picking up litter, emptying numerous trash cans, and maintaining grills, along with other assigned responsibilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately April 2026, until November 2026, at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately April 2027.
  • Work shifts/days vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include weekends and holidays.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Conditions of Employment:

  • This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
