The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bald Eagle State Park is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Park Maintenance Workers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a beautiful outdoor environment while contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of the park facilities and grounds.


Requirements

In this role, you will perform semi-skilled tasks independently or assist a skilled worker with routine maintenance and construction at Bald Eagle State Park.

You may also lead a small team of laborers in carrying out standard tasks.

Your duties will include helping with the installation, removal, and maintenance of marina systems and courtesy docks, as well as supporting the repair of watercraft and related equipment.

Additionally, you will maintain buildings and facilities using tools from various trades such as carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.

You will also manage the operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment throughout the park.

Your tasks will involve constructing simple forms for concrete work, mixing and placing cement, and finishing surfaces with masonry tools.

Ground maintenance will include mowing, weed cutting, collecting firewood, picking up litter, and cleaning different areas, along with loading and transporting materials using dump trucks or pickup trucks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026, through November 2026, at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
  • Work shifts/days vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
