As a Park Maintenance Supervisor 2, you will lead a diverse crew of maintenance and trades staff responsible for the construction, repair, and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure throughout the Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Park Complex.
You will plan, organize, and assign daily work; provide instruction on proper methods, safety practices, and equipment operation; and ensure all projects meet established standards.
Your role includes overseeing purchasing and bids for materials, maintaining inventories, preparing sketches and cost estimates for maintenance and construction projects, and supervising the operation and care of park vehicles and heavy equipment.
You will also manage employee performance, address grievances, approve leave, and ensure compliance with union agreements and safety regulations.
Additional responsibilities include supervising water and sewage treatment operations, completing required reports, and serving as the park’s Right-to-Know and Safety Officer.
This position may require work at both Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Parks.
