State of Washington
Parks and Recreation Commission
This temporary Park Aide position involves maintaining and supporting operations at marine parks in Washington's San Juan area, such as cleaning facilities, performing light physical tasks like raking and lifting, and helping visitors enjoy the natural surroundings.
It's ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, students seeking summer jobs, active retirees wanting part-time work, or anyone starting a career in parks and recreation who doesn't mind weekends, evenings, and some hands-on chores.
The role offers a chance to work in beautiful settings with wildlife, build practical skills, and potentially lead to permanent opportunities.
Most positions are at least moderately physical – walking, raking, bending, kneeling, lifting and moving lighter items (and heavier ones with assistance).
If that is not appropriate for you, but you are still interested, read the announcement carefully to determine if there might be a position dedicated to less physical work at the park(s) you are interested in.
