About the Position
The Park Ranger Supervisor plays a critical leadership role, overseeing both Senior Park Rangers and Park Rangers.
Reporting to the Ranger Operations Manager 2, the Supervisor ensures the effective and efficient operation of the Park Ranger program across various shifts and locations.
Key responsibilities include creating staff work schedules, monitoring performance, conducting park safety and security inspections, and managing Park Ranger responses within SPR parks and facilities.
The Supervisor is responsible for providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to the team, ensuring compliance with park ordinances, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
This role also includes reviewing citations, trespass warnings, and coordinating with city staff and law enforcement on safety and security issues.
The Park Ranger Supervisor must possess strong leadership and supervisory experience, a deep knowledge of park security practices, and familiarity with city laws, including the Seattle Municipal Code.
The Supervisor ensures the overall success of the Park Ranger program, including maintaining operational excellence and fostering positive community relationships.
