This job involves working as a paralegal in the state's Attorney General's Office, helping lawyers handle post-conviction relief cases by reviewing court records, drafting legal documents, and assisting in court.

Assists with circuit court cases, including but not limited to drafting returns to applications and other collateral review actions, along with any related motions and/or proposed orders for review by attorneys within the Post-Conviction Relief Section.
This includes reviewing the entire record of the general sessions proceeding, the direct appeal proceeding, any prior collateral actions, and any necessary discovery to prepare cases for hearing or summary dismissal in circuit court.
Must be well organized and able to juggle multiple demands.Must possess knowledge of Word and Excel.Applicant must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable.Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge of SC court system is helpful.
