Job Description

Summary

This job involves helping to manage and maintain outdoor sports facilities like fields and courts at a military base, including overseeing supplies, equipment, and seasonal upkeep.

It also includes assisting with budgets, inventory, and indoor maintenance during off-seasons.

A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in sports facility maintenance, strong organizational skills, and a focus on safety and customer service.

Key Requirements

  • Possess and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
  • Completion of MWR Orientation Course

  • Ability to provide input on budgets, manpower, and program adjustments
  • Experience overseeing inventory of maintenance property and supplies

Full Job Description

This position is located at Kilianski Sports Complex. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to manage and maintain multiple fields and courts.

The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.

Possesses and maintains the following certifications: CPR, First Aid, & AED; MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair) Highly Desirable: MWR Sports and Fitness Administration Course.

Major Duties:

  • Assists the Installation Outdoor Maintenance Coordinator with diverse functions required to manage numerous outdoor sports facilities, fields and courts.
  • Provides input in the development of budgetary and manpower requirements and recommends adjustments due to changes in program demands or hours of operation.
  • Oversees the inventory of maintenance property and supplies. Works with fitness facility managers to recommends purchase of outdoor equipment, as needed.
  • During off season coordinates with the Facilities Manager to do maintenance inside the fitness facilities.
  • Provides input to data collection instruments relevant to outdoor facilities and programs.
