About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation at Offutt AFB. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Specialized experience that demonstrates ability to apply the principles of one or more specialty areas of recreation.
Specialized experience may include: Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, or evaluating community, industrial, outdoor, indoor, or other recreation programs.
Instructing in the principles and techniques of recreation program planning and management.
Serving in a leadership role in the programs and activities of local, regional and or national recreational organizations. Education may be substituted for experience or vice versa.
Undergraduate and graduate education majoring in general recreation, or one of the appropriate fields such as outdoor recreation. Certified in standard First Aid and CPR for adults and children.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 investigation. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators license. This is a drug testing designated position.
The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Organize, promotes, schedules, and leads Outdoor Recreation programs and activities. Teaches youth and adult recreation skills from beginner to advanced.
Conducts needs and interest assessments to determine programming. arrange for recreational excursions, and instructional classes.
Prepares budget, analyzes financial results, and maintains solid financial condition of activities. Sign up customers for classes, trips, and programs. Checks out equipment, rental items, etc.
Process facility and equipment reservations. Provides quality customer service. Positively interacts with all customers (i.e. greets and offers assistance). Checks customer's eligibility.
Resolves customer complaints and problems as empowered. Informs Outdoor Recreation Director of any customer service problems and concerns.
Develops a comprehensive local resource inventory for program planning and referral. Provides customer information and referrals. Reviews and analyzes market data to determine program preferences.
Develop a minimum of two special programs per month schedule.
Support Recreational Operations, assists with equipment check out, trip set up information, prepares deposits and ensures daily deposits are delivered to central cashier.
Collects cash, receipts, register tapes, credit card receipts and other supporting documentation. Ensures proper accounting for controlled forms and informs managers of irregularities.
Works under the direction of Outdoor Recreation Director to develop and execute a variety or family activities and prepare annual budgets for all programs.
Ensures appropriate safety and health practices. Maintain standard First Aid and CPR for both children and adult's certification. Performs other duties as assigned.
