Job Description
Summary
This job involves teaching students who are blind or visually impaired how to navigate their surroundings safely and independently, both individually and in groups, while tailoring lessons to their personal goals.
It also requires working closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support these students and suggesting campus improvements for better accessibility.
A good fit would be someone passionate about education and disability support, with hands-on experience helping kids in school settings.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Orientation and Mobility Certification
- 3 to 5 years of professional O&M experience in a school setting
