As an Operations Support Specialist, you will provide operational support and analysis to ensure efficient office operations.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/11/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/11/2026.

GS-11: You qualify at the GS-11 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Providing general administrative support to a team or program. Identifying and recommending solutions to a wide range of administrative issues.

Coordinating the logistics of large meetings, events, and schedules.

Using Microsoft Office applications and other automated systems to track and analyze data, prepare reports, and develop presentation and briefing materials.

OR You may substitute a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent degree) or three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in any field, or L.L.M.

if related for experience at the GS-11 grade level or such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Drafting, reviewing, and organizing standard operating procedures, correspondence, reports, and briefing materials.

Collecting and analyzing data to support reporting, planning, and leadership decision-making.

Serving as a central point of contact between leadership, staff, and other stakeholders to keep information flowing smoothly.

Leading projects that have a variety of stakeholders and office-wide or broader scope.

  • Develops and updates standard operating procedures to ensure consistent processes are followed and processes align with legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains ongoing metrics, reports and dashboards.
  • Conducts research on assigned administrative projects to gather and analyze relevant data, develop recommendations, and provide reports and briefings.
  • Serves as liaison and expert in team's administrative programs with internal support personnel and other USCIS program offices.
  • Advise and support management on complex administrative issues, ensuring sensitive information is handled appropriately and securely.
