Summary

This role involves overseeing administrative tasks, projects, and teams within the Marine Corps Community Services to support Marines and their families.

You'll manage budgets, conduct reviews for improvements, and act as a key contact between departments.

It's ideal for someone with business management experience who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities and leading small teams in a supportive, military-focused environment.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience in business management or related field, demonstrating planning, coordination, innovation, implementation, and improvement of projects and programs
  • One year of supervisory experience, including assigning work, coaching, performance reviews, and personnel actions
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Adobe Pro; Microsoft Power BI preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to research, analyze situations, and solve tasks
  • Experience in administrative functions like preparing reports, correspondence, budgets, and conducting vulnerability assessments or internal controls reviews
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!

MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community.

What are we looking for?

Minimum of three years of experience in business management or related field of work area that demonstrates ability to plan, coordinate, innovate, implement, and improve projects and programs.

One year supervisory experience. Ability to organize and coordinate multiple high visibility projects simultaneously.

Skill to deal with employees at various levels in the organization and represent the division with customers.

Must have the ability and skill to research and analyze situations in order to solve and complete tasks. Skill operate personal computer, associated peripheral equipment, and software.

Must be proficient in Adobe Pro and in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Major Duties:

What to expect Manages and/or coordinate all administrative actions and projects for all branches with Semper Fit Division.

Independently performs and accomplishes planning, organization, coordination, and accomplishment at the managerial level for all operational and administrative support work required for each of the departments.

Performs administrative functions to include compiling and organization information, preparing reports correspondence for management briefing, and preparing internal and external written correspondence for appropriate authority signature.

Conducts vulnerability assessments, internal controls reviews and payroll analyses to identify inefficiencies, and reports findings to the Semper Fit Director.

Acts as Liaison to track Semper Fit requirements with other administrative offices such as purchasing and contracting, maintenance, accounting, personnel offices, and property.

Assists with preparation, planning, and execution of operating and capital budgets with in the Division.

Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timesheets, and training employees.

Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
