Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

Three years experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge and experience in a variety of recreational activities.
Must have knowledge of equipment, supplies and procedures in order to maintain efficient functioning of the operation. Must have the ability to work independently. Must be able to work irregular hours.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain CPR certification from the American Red Cross within six months of held position.
This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Major Duties:
Assist the Single Marine & Sailor Program Coordinator in the supervision, management, and administration of the Single Marine Recreation Centers.
Plans and implements the various phases and projects of the program and handles problems and deviations in accordance with standing instructions, and established procedures.
Assists in carrying out program projects, primarily in program planning, staff training, and administrative duties and annual budget. Assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of recreation attendants.
Ensures the work is completed in compliance with established procedures and instructions. Trains new employees, instructs proper procedures and solves problems related to work.
Plans, coordinates and schedules recurring and non-recurring activities, special events and joint community undertakings to maximize use of facilities and resources.
Identifies, coordinates, procures and schedules maintenance and repair projects. Conducts frequent inspections to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment. Supervises safety operations.
Reports any requirements for maintenance, cleaning and/or repair to the Manager as required. Assumes operational duties in the absence of the Manager.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly.
Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other duties as assigned.
