Summary

This job is for an operations assistant at a community activity center on a military base in California, where you'll help run daily activities, handle cash transactions, manage inventory for food and drinks, and ensure the facility is safe and welcoming for soldiers.

Full Job Description

This position is located at Community Activity Center (CAC), Camp Parks, California. CAC has a variety of activities and programs for Soldiers to enjoy.

It's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Announcement will a have a first cut office date of March 3, 2026, and applicants that submit a complete application packet prior to that date and found eligible may be given first consideration.

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items.

Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. Skill in providing customer service.

Ability to communicate effectively. Major Duties:

  • Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures.
  • Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash counts of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages.
  • Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Completes and submits daily reports of operations.
  • Monitors inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag.
  • Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
