Job Description

Summary

This job is for an operations assistant at a recreational club on a military base in Georgia, where you'll handle cash transactions, ensure smooth daily operations, and support events like parties while keeping the facility secure and well-stocked.

It's ideal for someone with experience in customer-facing roles, basic financial handling, and a reliable, detail-oriented personality who enjoys working in a lively community setting.

No advanced degrees are needed, but familiarity with bar services or inventory systems would make you stand out.

  • Progressively responsible experience in handling cash items, including receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, and custody
  • Meets state/local age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages if duties involve sales

  • Experience with purchasing processes, including using government credit cards, BPAs, and alcohol inventory management (highly preferred)

Full Job Description

This position is located at Club Stewart, Fort Stewart, GA. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1.

Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items. 2.

Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. 3.

Skill in providing customer service. 4. Ability to communicate effectively.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Knowledge and ability to perform bar service and bartending experience.

Has knowledge and experience with purchasing requirements (knowledge and experience using a government credit card, understands how to purchase liquor, beer, and wine, has a working knowledge of BPA's (Blanket Purchasing Agreements), and understands the storage and inventory processes of all alcohol.) Has knowledge and experience with the RECTRAC and POS systems.

Major Duties:

  • Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages.
  • Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag.
  • Completes Daily Activity Report. Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility.
  • May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
