The Department of Workforce Services is seeking dedicated individuals to fill Office Specialist I positions in both our Salt Lake (Olene Walker) and Clearfield locations.


Are you looking for an opportunity to grow and expand your office specialist skills? If so, this may be the position you're looking for. The Department of Workforce Services is seeking dedicated individuals to fill Office Specialist I positions in our Imaging Unit in both our Salt Lake (Olene Walker) and Clearfield locations.

Successful applicants will be required to complete an 8 week training at the Salt Lake (Olene Walker) location before being assigned to their full time location in either Clearfield or Salt Lake.


Principal Duties
Employees in this position perform complex production tasks requiring specialized office skills. The Office Specialist I will perform one or more of the following duties:
  • Uses computer programs to index and image documents.
  • Uses a computer to file, retrieve and research documents.
  • Processes a variety of agency documents by reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provides the public and others with information and assistance in completing forms and applications.
  • Exercises independent judgment in office functions or duties.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who:
  • Has research experience using the computer.
  • Has data entry experience.
  • Is detail oriented.
  • Has great communication and interpersonal skills.
