Full Job Description

You will serve as a Nuclear Engineer in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department, Nuclear Project Engineering Office (Code 2301.6), of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER planning, coordinating, and reviewing nuclear engineering projects including functions related to refueling, alteration, repair, maintenance, and testing modifications of nuclear reactor plants.

  • You will oversee nuclear engineering projects in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department.
  • You will be responsible for both the technical and management aspects of your assigned projects.
  • You will work with teams in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department, production controllers and contractor representatives to coordinate projects.
  • You will identify requirements and provide direction for shipyard reactor plant work.
  • You will provide management guidance and coordinate work projects between the individual divisions.
  • You will coordinate engineering and planning functions to ensure a thorough review of all approved work entering the department for each assigned project.
