This job involves setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks and equipment for mobile command posts used by the Pennsylvania State Police during emergencies, ensuring everything runs smoothly to support law enforcement operations.

As a Network Specialist 2, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and technical support of Mobile Command Posts, Fixed Command Posts, and Joint Operations Centers.
You will independently install and configure all software and hardware related to the set-up and teardown of Mobile Command Posts (MCP) as well as Cisco network equipment, desktop PCs, and laptops.
You will also receive, ship, and maintain inventory of materials stored at the work location.
This role requires a thorough knowledge of PSP software including RMS/CAD, CLEAN, MDT, GIS, JNET, and VPN Remote Access; and the ability to monitor system resources, resolve system performance issues, and ensure system availability.
In addition, you will provide technical assistance to contractors, assist with operations procedures and planning, and review MCP technical manuals and publications.
