This job involves leading a support division that handles financial management, marketing, IT, and other services for family and recreational programs at a military base in Kansas, helping to boost soldier readiness and community well-being.
A good fit would be someone with experience managing similar programs in a military or community setting, who enjoys overseeing teams and handling budgets to meet organizational goals.
This position is located in the Support Services Division within the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) at Fort Riley, Kansas.
DFMWR provides family support activities and services; social, fitness and recreational activities that enhance community life, fosters Soldier and unit readiness and promotes mental and physical fitness; and wellness programs that directly support readiness and resiliency.
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work Experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Support Management programs for a Garrison, or similar civilian community, for at least one (1) year.
Knowledge of programming, planning, budgeting, and long range planning.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered Highly Preferred: Possess at least 2 years of experience overseeing a Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) NAF Support Office or similar environment (Marketing, Financial Management, Information technology, Property, etc.).
OR Possess at least 2 years of experience of responsibility for development of a division's annual operating budget within Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) or similar environment.
