Summary

This job involves overseeing the support operations for family and morale programs at a large Army base in Fort Bliss, Texas, including managing finances, marketing, IT, and other key areas to keep services running smoothly.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of work experience directing or managing one or more DMWR Support Management programs for a garrison or similar civilian community

  • Experience in overall management of NAF Support Division activities, including financial management, marketing, commercial sponsorship, IT, internal controls, and property book office
  • Ability to serve as focal point for DFMWR support management policies and provide guidance to achieve organizational objectives
  • Skills in directing, developing, and administering plans, procedures, and regulations in compliance with laws, policies, and professional standards
  • Leadership and supervision experience, including communicating mission and goals to subordinates
  • Proficiency in directing finance and accounting operations, including receipt, distribution, accounting for NAF, and maintaining accounts for allotments, assets, liabilities, and contracts

This position is located at Department of Family, Morale and Welfare, Fort Bliss Texas.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work Experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Support Management programs for a Garrison, or similar civilian community, for at least one year.

A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application. Major Duties:

  • Responsible for overall management of the NAF Support Division at a large garrison, to include the following activities: NAF Financial Management, Marketing, Commercial Sponsorship, IT, Internal Controls, and Property Book Office.
  • Serves as the garrison focal point for DFMWR Support Management Policies and Practices. Provides policies and guidance to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the organization and garrison.
  • Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures; and implements regulations to ensure functions are carried out in accordance with governing laws, policies, regulations, and professional standards of service.
  • Provides leadership and supervision, and communicates mission and organization goals to subordinates. Applies knowledge of programming, planning, and budgeting and long-range MWR resources.
  • Directs and develops finance and accounting operations through various services to include receipt of, distribution of, and accounting for NAF. Maintains accounts showing status of installation allotments, assets, and liabilities and contracts.
