Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, Office of Commissioner, Privacy, FOIA, and EEO Office located in Washington, DC.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-9 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assist in the researching, reviewing information for tracking of projects/action plans.
Skills in utilizing accountability systems to monitor and account of property. Disseminating accurate and timely information.
Responding to all inquiries and complaints or directing them to the appropriate office for action. Providing alternative solutions and options to often complex problems.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Researching, reviewing and analyzing information utilizing computer systems/databases to assist in the development, implementation and tracking of projects/actions plans.
Assisting with property inventory by utilizing accountability systems to conduct inventory and monitor property.
Conducting a variety of administrative functions such as data entry, scanning, uploading documents to computer systems, to meet deadlines and support program offices.
Overseeing employee safety by enforcing workplace safety programs and advising employees on eligibility and procedures for Workers Compensation benefits.

Education Substitution: GS-09: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in any field, or a L.L.B.
or J.D. for the experience required at the GS-9 grade level. Such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise two years of graduate education. If that information is not available, use 36 semester or 54 quarter hours.
You are required to submit proof of your claim. GS-11: You may substitute a Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree, or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.M. for experience at the GS-11.
Such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise three years of graduate study.
If that information is not available, use 54 semester or 81 quarter hours.
Combining Education and Experience: You may substitute using a combination of successfully completed education and experience that is at least 100% as described in the Combining Experience and Education statement in the announcement posting.

This position starts at a salary of $70,623.00 (GS-9, Step 1) to $111,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10) with promotion potential to $133,142 (GS-12 Step 10).
Major Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Performs a range of administrative and analytical duties required to implement and provide oversight and support to PFE programs.
Provides technical advice and guidance on a variety of mission support functions and processes within, including logistics, policy and planning, and communications and training.
Provides support to the functions of property management. Receives, ships, and manages equipment and supplies inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and availability for mission needs.
Coordinates technology requirements with the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) or other offices, to include: computer/laptop imaging, programming, conferences, training room logistics, et al.
Manages a government purchase card, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Manages daily correspondence, ensuring timely receipt and dissemination of communications.
Composes correspondence, standard operating procedures, and routes documents for review and approval. Provides administrative training and resource materials.
Reviews presented materials and works to develop materials that are clear and concise. Generates and maintains various reports.
Contributes to the formulation and implementation of policies relating to PFE headquarters and the field workforce.
Serves as the PFE Headquarters safety officer, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and emergency preparedness protocols.
Identifies issues relevant to Office Workers' Compensation Program (OWCP) and applies applicable standards, procedures, and solutions.
