Microsoft 365/Intune ManagerThe Department of Administration's Office of Technology and Information Services is the state’s central provider of IT services to state government agencies.

We are seeking a talented Microsoft 365/Intune Manager to join our team.

In this role you will lead a team of highly skilled engineers who support our M365 and Intune environment ensuring our cloud identities are secured and best practices are being followed.

You will drive vendor assisted projects and initiatives to deliver favorable project outcomes for M365 and its business users.

This position will be an integral part of our Enterprise Platform Services team and your leadership will influence our Workplace Services transformation.

This position is onsite in beautiful Columbia, South Carolina.

Responsibilities of the Microsoft 365/Intune Manager:

Manage and provide technical leadership to M365 and Intune technology focused team. Lead and support staff through coaching, training, and performance development.

Streamline workflows while implementing management policies and organizational initiatives. Foster a positive, team focused environment.

  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to align Microsoft Intune configurations with organizational security policies, assist with Windows Autopilot provisioning, and support zero-touch deployment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to align M365 configurations for Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint with organizational security policies, assist with deployment, training, and support of these initiatives.
  • Assist with the management of our third-party email filtering tools: run message traces, block and release mail in ProofPoint, and assist with mail flow issues and investigations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Intune configurations, deployment processes, troubleshooting guides, and best practices to support ongoing operations and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members to ensure the MS Intune configurations comply with all Division of Technology Operations (DTO) and Division of Information Security (DIS) policies and requirements.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis).
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID and five (5) years managing technical staff.

    Additional Requirements:
    • Experience and management with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
    • A strong understanding of and how to validate different licensing options.
    • Working knowledge of software development cycles and project management.
    • Ability to produce technical documentation.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills coupled with the ability to work within a team environment, and direct and prioritize tasks.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • CJIS Certification is a requirement, but can be obtained after employment.
