Job Description

Summary

This job is for a custodian at the Metro Action Commission's Head Start program in Nashville, where you'll keep indoor and outdoor spaces clean, handle basic maintenance, and support other tasks as needed under a facilities manager.

It's a full-time role with standard benefits and set hours from 10 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

A good fit would be someone reliable with basic cleaning experience who can lift heavy items and pass a thorough background check.

Full Job Description

This is a Full-time, Non-Civil Service position with Metropolitan Action Commission with medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. The position is under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager and performs duties as instructed to insure the cleanliness of all Metropolitan Action Commission property (indoor and outside).


Work Hours: Monday - Friday (10:00 A.M. - 6:30 P.M.)

Perform preventive maintenance work Assist in all cleaning functions Attend meetings and complete required training Demonstrate positive and professional work habits Assist with other position related duties as requested by supervisor Qualifications Minimum of an eighth-grade education and one (1) year of experience in custodial work.

Valid Driver License.Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078.
