Summary

Full Job Description

This is a Full-Time, Non-Civil Service located with Metro Action Commission. Position includes medical, dental, vision, and other insurance benefits.

WORK HOURS:
MONDAY-FRIDAY:

7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

***Extensive Background Checks and random drug tests are performed on applicants for this position with MAC.***

Requirements

Assist in the preparation and review of the weekly menus on a daily basisPrepare breakfast and lunch each school dayAssist in the planning of nutritionally menusMonitor and report equipment malfunctionsPrepare foods by using the CACFP guidelines with regard to correct temperature controlsResponsible for using the proper satellite equipment such as insulated pans/containersUnderstand menus and recipesAttend and/or assist with all required meetings, as requestedMaintain high standards of sanitation in kitchen and serving areasAssist in special events as requiredPerform duties as instructed by supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or GED.

Two (2) years of experience working in a cafeteria or food production environment, and two (2) years working in Child and Adult Care Food Prep (CACFP).

Valid Driver License.Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078.

All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
