This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Berkeley Community Mental Health Center, 403 Stoney Landing Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.As the Mental Health Professional I, under general supervision, provides advanced assessment, crisis management, short- long-term individual and family therapy, and case management services for children and their families who present with psychiatric needs.
The main goal of interventions will be to reduce psychiatric symptomatology and increase positive functioning within a variety of ecological systems.
Services are delivered primarily in school-based settings.Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I/School-Based:
Provide case management services to assigned caseload. Develop and maintains liaisons with personnel from other agencies/resources in order to facilitate treatment of clients.
Participate in interagency staffing, including Individualized Education Plon (IEP) and Student Intervention Team (SIT) meetings.
