This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Anderson Clinic, 1 Linwa Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.
Under general supervision, you will perform diversified supportive counseling to patients of the Child & Adolescent Program.
Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I:
Provide assessment and crisis services to patients as needed. Provide diversified outpatient therapy services to children, adolescents and their families.
Monitor and respond to referrals and patient phone screenings to ensure that the Center meets the required timeline of response. Assist in maintaining the assessment calendar to ensure that access to care standards are met.
Will maintain clinical charts in accordance with OMH Standards.
Will attend and participate in staff meetings and make recommendations for patient's treatment according to identified needs.
Perform additional duties as required.
In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care.
This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.
