About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20.

The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Materials Expediter Supervisor without more than normal supervision.

I have the ability to perform common duties including: planning, coordinating, and directing the work of subordinate employees; understanding complex issues and developing solutions that effectively address problems; ensuring actions are timely, warranted and in accordance with merit practices and principles.

I can monitor the use of personnel, equipment, materials, and methods to meet production goals and quality standards. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc.

(Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) Major Duties:

• Provide general instructions to subordinate employees to meet project goals.
• Control work operations to meet mission requirements according to established guidelines.
• Communicate with Asset Planners to address issues that may cause schedule interruptions.
• Measure the accuracy of performance standards for subordinates.
• Counsel subordinate employees on how to improve their job performance.
