Requirements

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Marketing Manager to join the System Office’s Public & Legislative Affairs team.

This role serves as a central driver of CCCS’s marketing and communications strategy, supporting visibility and engagement with key stakeholders across Colorado.

We are looking for someone who brings a strong operational mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The role serves as the bug for campaign execution, ensuring that integrated marketing and communications initiatives are implemented on time, aligned across platforms, and supported by clear performance data.

As CCCS continues to expand its coordinated approach to marketing, advocacy, recruitment, and public affairs, this role will help operationalize strategies that connect learners, employers, policymakers, and communities to the opportunities that CCS provides.

If you are energized by the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, dynamic team—while helping elevate the state’s largest system of post-secondary education and workforce training—this position may be for you.

CCCS provides generous leave, excellent benefits, and flexible work schedules, including hybrid-remote work within the state of Colorado.

As the Marketing Manager, you will support the implementation and coordination of CCCS’s communications and marketing initiatives under the direction of the Director of Communications & Marketing.

You will manage campaign timelines, digital publishing, analytics tracking, and marketing workflows to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, aligned with CCCS brand standards, and optimized for performance.

This role plays a critical part in translating strategy into execution--supporting marketing efforts, vendor deliverables, and leadership communications aligned with CCCS’s broader strategic and legislative priorities.

Duties include:

  • Implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital, web, social media, email, and paid media platforms based on established communications strategy.
  • Manage campaign timelines, content calendars, and production schedules to ensure coordinated deployment.
  • Publish and maintain content within the CCCS content management system (CMS), ensuring alignment with brand standards and messaging priorities.
  • Apply search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to improve visibility and performance of web content.
  • Monitor website traffic, digital engagement, and marketing campaign performance using analytics tools.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly analytics reports to support marketing performance evaluation and strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain structured project tracking systems that provide visibility into campaign timelines, approvals, vendor deliverables, and project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or other related field from an accredited college or university. Relevant education and/or experience in addition to that below may substitute year-for-year for the required degree.
  • Two years of experience in marketing, digital communications, or campaign coordination.
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
  • Experience compiling and interpreting marketing analytics and performance data.

Additional Information

Attributes that will contribute to success in this position:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to translate strategic direction into actionable campaign execution.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, digital marketing platforms, and content management systems.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and similar design tools with the ability to edit and adapt marketing assets as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong quality control standards.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.

Work Location/Travel Expectations:

  • This position is located at CCCS System Office: 9101 E. Lowry Blvd., Denver, CO 80230.
  • Weekly travel is expected for on- and off-site meetings and events.
  • Alternative work arrangements, including flexible schedules and remote work may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado.

The Colorado Community College System is the state’s largest provider of higher education and workforce training, consisting of 13 colleges and over 35 locations across the state, educating approximately 130,000 students annually.

In addition, we train more than 4,000 Coloradans each year through customized employer training programs.

Our mission is to provide accessible, responsive learning environments where students can achieve their educational, professional and personal goals in an atmosphere that embraces academic excellence, diversity and innovation.
