Job Description

Summary

This job is for a marketing assistant at a U.S.

Army base in Louisiana, where you'll handle office tasks, create and distribute promotional materials for community events and programs, and support the team's daily operations.

It's ideal for someone organized with basic creative skills who enjoys helping plan fun activities for military families and staff.

No advanced degree is needed, but hands-on experience in video editing, graphic design, and event coordination will make you stand out.

Key Requirements

  • Ability to perform clerical and administrative support, including answering phones and delivering supplies
  • Proficiency in operating print shop equipment like computers, printers, digital duplicators, laminators, and digital cameras
  • Experience in duplicating and distributing marketing materials for events and programs
  • Skills in distributing advertisements via media, email, and other channels, plus maintaining work order tracking systems
  • Assistance in supporting the annual calendar of events and activities
  • Minimum 2 years experience creating promotional videos (highly preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Adobe Illustrator (highly preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years experience maintaining community and public calendars and events (highly preferred)

This position is located with Marketing for FMWR at Fort Polk, Louisiana . Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: The ability to perform the duties described above. Highly preferred candidates will be referred to management first.

In addition to meeting the above qualifications, highly preferred is defined as also meeting all of the criteria listed below: Minimum of two (2) years experience with creating promotional videos.

Minimum of two (2) years experience with Adobe Illustrator. Minimum of two (2) years experience with maintaining community and public annual calendars and events.

Highly preferred experience must be clearly stated in resume to be qualified as highly preferred.

  • Performs clerical and administrative support of the marketing department as directed, answers phone and delivers supplies as directed to MWR activities.
  • Operates print shop equipment such as computers, printers, digital duplicator, laminator, and digital camera.
  • Provides duplication and distribution of marketing material to advertise and promote installation Moral, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program special events, new and recurring programs, and services to approved on-post and off-post locations.
  • Distributes MWR advertisements and promotional materials at approved locations though media, email, and more; provides information on planned events to the general public and maintains tracking system for work orders.
  • Assists as directed to support the annual calendar of MWR events and activities.
