THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of Project Controls, the Project Controls Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Project Control functions for the Port's engineering projects.
This includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of tools such as Primavera P6, Unifier, and EZ FAMIS, ensuring accurate tracking of project schedules, costs, and resources across a variety of capital projects.
The position plays a key role in supporting Project & Program Managers, Project Estimators, and other team members by providing technical assistance and strategic guidance in the development and execution of project controls processes.
Additionally, the Project Controls Manager acts as a critical point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of project data, compliance with Port policies, and the successful delivery of projects.
Participation in project planning meetings, reviewing financial reports, and troubleshooting system issues are also an essential part of the role.

Vacation – Vacation is accrued at the equivalent of two weeks on an annual basis. Vacation can be used after six months of service.
An employee’s vacation accrual may be adjusted upon hire to provide credit for previous full-time employment at a public service agency.
Credit for public service shall only be given for completed years of service as a full-time permanent employee. Public Service credit shall not apply to any other benefits.
