Requirements

As a Management Technician, you will provide quality customer service for the Bureau of Procurement by responding to inquiries and assisting bureau personnel and suppliers with the use of computers, laptops, AV equipment for supplier registrations, and online bidding.

You will also research pending procurements, modify published materials, recommend website enhancements, analyze supplier data, and participate in supplier educational forums to enhance existing relationships and seek increased supplier participation in Commonwealth procurements.


Excellent organizational skills are utilized to maintain detailed records surrounding customer interactions and transactions, and record details of inquirers, complaints, and comments as well as actions taken for resolution.

You will be responsible for providing technical and non-technical assistance to bureau customers and staff concerning Commonwealth policies, procedures, and systems of Commonwealth procurement, including the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days a week, upon successful completion of the initial training period.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.


Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience developing and maintaining supplier and/or vendor relationships.
  • You must have professional or educational experience with MS Office Suite and Adobe software.
  • You must have experience providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
