In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions for the 0301 series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-07, level or band (or equivalent in other pay systems).
Examples of specialized experience is applying personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, and/or instructions, to understand respective programs and discuss findings with functional manager.
Identifyng and recommending solutions to problems in an organizational structure, staffing, administrative procedures, working processes or workload distribution.
Making reports, correspondence, and extracting data using knowledge of administrative processes, procedures automated systems, personal computers, and software employed.

OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or L.L.B., or J.D., if related, in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of this position.
OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of graduate level education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
FEDERALTIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: In-depth knowledge of administrative and military personnel policies, procedures, Reserve mission, training methods and programs, rules, guidelines, and instructions.
In-depth knowledge of the automated systems, personal computers, hardware, and software. Ability to analyze data/products.
Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of an organization; communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of analytical and investigative techniques to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
Knowledge of management principles within both the civilian and military personnel systems, and the ability to integrate the civilian and military personnel aspects in order to successfully accomplish the organization's mission.
Knowledge of training goals and objectives to assist in the management and implementation of training goals for the CSS personnel. Knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS Performs other related duties as assigned.
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements.
Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA).
The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay.
Air Reserve units and members; are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.

Military members may be appointed before the effective date of their military retirement/separation if member is on terminal leave.
Individuals selected for ART positions must meet both civilian qualifications and uniformed military requirements.
In addition to meeting civilian qualifications, applicants must obtain military membership in the Air Force Reserve, wear the uniform, maintain job-specific military specialty requirements, and meet other military qualifications such as age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards.

The primary purpose of this position: is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position in the Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS).
As such, the incumbent will administer and direct the Group Commander's Support Staff functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Additionally, trains Reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Plans, organizes, and oversees the full complement of activities within the Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS).
Manages personnel, unit training and administrative programs management as well as continuous improvement initiatives within the CSS.
Plans, organizes and executes all Group information management and personnel activities.
Oversees the preparation, maintenance, and disposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
Manages training programs for administration (3A1X1) and personnel (3S0X1) in accordance with established command guidelines.
Serves as the Group point of contact and liaison with the servicing Force Support Squadron on personnel and manpower actions.
Prepares and delivers presentations such as briefings, training sessions, and consultations with serviced Commander(s), other staff agencies and functional areas to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters and convey information.
Participates in special studies and projects relating to planning, coordinating, and analyzing the effectiveness/efficiency of the Group CSS in meeting Air Force Administration program goals.
