Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves analyzing and improving administrative programs at a naval shipyard, focusing on workforce planning, personnel management, and operational efficiency.
You'll evaluate how well programs meet goals, prepare reports for managers, and develop policies to support staff incentives and staffing needs.
It's a good fit for someone with experience in office administration or HR support who enjoys problem-solving and communicating recommendations clearly.
You will serve as a MANAGEMENT & PROGRAM ANALYST in the Administrative Services Division, Executive Support Office of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying program management policies and principles to analyze and develop recommendations for improvement in program operations, pertaining to organizational structure/planning, workforce forecasting/manning, position management support and employee incentive programs.
Experience resolving substantial administrative problems related to civilian personnel issues. Experience developing and providing program training and preparing instructions.
Experience with workforce management, ensuring accuracy of civilian personnel actions and limiting delays in staffing and incorrect personnel transactions.
Experience applying oral and written communication skills to prepare and present oral and written findings.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
