Minimum Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which must include the following experience: advising leadership on financial and human capital resource management; managing program planning, evaluation, and resource decisions; and overseeing daily management and operations activities to support organizational performance.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

As a Management Officer, you will perform the following duties: Serve as the primary financial manager for the CIO. Coordinate and incorporate spending plans into the formulation of the budget.

Develop annual budget plans and budget justifications and manage the approved budgets.

Recommend changes in the allocation and use of resources within the budget to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in achieving the organization's objectives.

Direct the application of promising new concepts, methods and systems.

Direct, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate financial controls to ensure adherence to established guidance, policies and procedures relating to the financial operations.
