Full Job Description

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.

It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is in the Technician/Administrative Support Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

It is located in the DISA OC/DISA GLOBAL - BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION (RN1). In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Providing administrative support such as creating travel requests, review and preparation of memos, briefings and other documents, maintaining multiple calendars, using time and attendance systems, and experience with office automation systems such as Microsoft Office Suite to generate a variety of documents and schedule and coordinate meetings.

All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Major Duties:

  • Prepares and coordinates the preparation, release control, and distribution of all correspondence, reports, briefings, and other documents for routing and signature through the command and DISA Headquarters.
  • Maintains various calendars to include, the Command Group, Division Chief’s and conference rooms at the site, with authority to schedule appointments.
  • Gathers and consolidates data and assists in studies, analyses, and projects for the purpose of assisting in the development of work methods, techniques, and procedures for the DISA Global Field Command.
  • Serves as a timekeeper and maintains time and attendance for the Command.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to the command with travel arrangements in the preparation of travel orders and submission of travel vouchers.
