Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing logistics and transportation at a naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, including managing warehouse contracts, handling shipments of materials, and supporting joint military operations like training exercises and migrant support.

A good fit would be someone with experience in supply chain management, contract administration, and logistics in a military or government setting, who is comfortable with supervisory roles and working in a remote overseas location with limited medical services.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-09 level or equivalent in traffic management or logistics
  • Experience as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for warehouse services contracts

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Traffic Management Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command, Cuba. *** Limited Medical Services provided onboard Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

*** Please research location and job description prior to applying.*** Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serves as the COR for the Warehouse Services Contract and is responsible for the duties as the technical representative of the Contracting Officer and the administration of the contract.

2) Provides support to Joint Logistics Operations including but not limited to Migrant Operations and Integrated Advance training exercises.

3) Designated as the Transportation Officer and responsible for all incoming/outgoing material shipments to/from FLCJ site GTMO and supported tenant commands.

4) Serves as the Quality Assurance Evaluator for the Ocean Transportation Services also known as the Barge Contract for USTRANSCOM.
