Job Description

Summary

This role as a Management Assistant involves supporting managers by gathering and organizing data, preparing reports and charts, and helping analyze workflows and production records to improve efficiency.

It also includes tracking personnel needs, preparing correspondence, and assisting with safety reports.

A good fit would be someone with one year of office or administrative experience who is detail-oriented and comfortable with basic data analysis and problem-solving.

See below for important information regarding this job. To qualify for a Management Assistant, your qualifications must include: A.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: Analyzes solutions to problems that are readily identifiable. Compiles data for inclusion in reports and studies.

Gathers and summarizes data on assigned programs.

Prepares charts, graphs and narrative information for management Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Participates in special or recurring studies.
  • Assists in the evaluation, review and analysis of administrative and operational processes, workflow and productivity.
  • Collects, organizes, and compiles detailed statistical data to support associated findings and recommendations.
  • Monitors and reviews employee and organizational production and workload records; identifies trends, discrepancies and problems; and recommends solutions.
  • Assists work leaders and supervisors in preparing mishap reports and coordinates with the safety office and management in the identification and resolution of problems.
  • Maintains a detailed record of assigned personnel and vacant positions and identifies the need for and coordinates requests for personnel actions.
  • Prepares correspondence.
