This job is for a senior leader who oversees a team of 115 staff handling the state's central financial operations, including policy development, budgeting, and reporting to ensure money is managed responsibly.
You'll plan projects, make recommendations on resources and issues, and work with other budget leaders to keep finances on track.
It's ideal for an experienced financial manager passionate about public service, innovation, and guiding teams through changes.

As the Director of the Bureau of Accounting and Financial Management (BAFM), you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the development and provision of centralized financial policy, systems, support, recording, reporting, and technical services to provide for the accountability and effective management of Commonwealth funds.
Work also involves collaborating with the Directors of all Bureaus within the Office of the Budget to gather, analyze, and report financial and finance-related data that may affect budgetary, operating, and proprietary accounts as well as subsidiary ledgers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
