Summary

This job involves analyzing and managing personnel, budget, and organizational resources for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command to support effective operations.

One year of specialized experience which includes using analytical techniques to evaluate manpower or personnel management program requirements (i.e., funding, authorizations, structural changes); assisting in the budget-execution process for assigned organization; utilizing established procedures to track or maintain human resource staffing actions; and gathering pertinent data to provide personnel recommendations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for civilian personnel actions.
  • Utilize budget data to assist in the planning and development of the command's fiscal year funding.
  • Participate in task groups that improve internal organizational effectiveness.
  • Analyze current manpower programs to determine adherence to mission objectives.
  • Modify the Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA) to ensure information listed complies with manpower requirements.
  • Provides recommendations to higher headquarters on manpower/structure issues.
