Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

This job involves helping the Air Force manage its budgets, plans, and resources by analyzing how to best allocate money and improve operations for defense projects.

The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate DoD and AF corporate Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes.
Experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience is described as analyzing, evaluating, and improving organizational efficiency, administrative processes, and resource utilization.
Ideal Candidate: Demonstrated expertise in one or more phases of the DoD's PPBE system, with proven ability to critically evaluate complex programmatic trade-offs and resource allocation decisions.
Exceptional ability to dynamically adapt communication strategies to diverse audiences-translating intricate technical requirements into compelling, accessible narratives for non-technical leadership, external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Superior written and oral communication skills with demonstrated capacity to facilitate productive dialogue, synthesize diverse perspectives, and influence decision-making across organizational levels.
Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to deconstruct operational mission directives and strategic guidance, identifying key dependencies, potential conflicts, and implementation pathways to develop coherent, executable action plans.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management. 2.
Knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities. 3.
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, AF, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy. 5.
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with individuals and groups within the office as well as outside the immediate work area. 6.
Knowledge of the mission, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding pertinent to the programs and organization.

Major Duties:
Leads, manages, directs, or is responsible for activities either directly or in support of DoD funded acquisition efforts.
Provides planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) expertise in facilitating the development, analysis, and integration of the Future Year Defense Plan (FYDP) resource requirements.
Plans, organizes, conducts, coordinates, and assists with wing studies and analyses dealing with current and future capabilities and mission.
Supports the development of policy, guidance, and direction for the local planning and programming activities.
