Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments across the state concerning purchasing and procurement activities. Your role will involve not only the development and delivery of training programs but also active participation in statewide initiatives focused on inventory management, procurement processes, purchasing strategies, and the effective use of purchasing cards. This multifaceted approach ensures that all stakeholders are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to optimize procurement practices, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and compliance within the state's purchasing framework. Your contributions will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement in procurement activities statewide.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • This position may require travel as needed, sometimes to remote office locations.
  • The preferred headquarters is located in the Keystone Building in Harrisburg, PA, although it may also be situated at an engineering district office if space permits.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Management Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience in technical management analysis work, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.


Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license.
