Summary

This job involves leading and coordinating acquisition efforts for the Navy, including planning, developing policies, and overseeing contracts for services and hardware to ensure the organization gets the best value.

It requires working with experts across divisions to create strategic plans and provide advice on procurement processes.

A good fit would be someone with strong experience in government contracting and analysis who enjoys tackling complex projects and negotiating with leaders.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the WOLF ACQUISITION OFC of NAWCAD WEBSTER OUTLYING FIELD. ***This position has a control point of GS-14 Step 10.

If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $143,913-$ 187,093.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DA-05) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating experience in pre and post award services acquisition; 2) Executing the requirements schedule from procurement planning through contract award within established timeframes; 3) Developing high quality acquisition documentation; and 4) Utilizing Acquisition Regulations.

  • You will direct, integrate and coordinate the efforts of a variety of experts at the Division and Command level in the development and implementation of Command acquisition policies, processes and procedures.
  • You will develop strategic plans to address current and future services and hardware acquisition requirements.
  • You will oversee efforts throughout the acquisition life cycle to perform a wide range of planning and analysis functions and provide data, insights and recommendations that assure the Command derives full value from its contractual resources.
  • You will negotiate with leadership to accept and implement controversial or innovative strategic plans.
  • You will advise managers and supervisors on effectiveness of strategic planning processes and policies for acquisition.
