About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at Liberty Lodge on RAF Lakenheath.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 35-40 per week with a minimum guarantee of 35 hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in performing a variety of minor, simple or routine maintenance on equipment, furniture and accessories.
Must be able to prepare and paint wood and other surfaces as well as be able to accomplish minor plumbing work.
Must be able to operate hand tools (powered and non-powered), operate bench-mounted tools and operate a 2 ton vehicle to transport equipment. Major Duties:
Inspects all Lodging facilities and rooms to identify maintenance problems and faults such as plumbing, electrical, heating, etc.
Performs minor room maintenance to corrected issues, such as rehanging curtain rods and re-tacking carpets. Performs follow-up maintenance status to insure required work has been completed.
Inspects VCRs, microwaves, tunes TVs and replaces items as needed. Makes telephone calls to Civil Engineering (CE) to report maintenance issues.
Coordinates with Housekeeping Supervisor to identify discrepancies needing to be fixed. Completes and maintains maintenance status logs for each facility.
Identifies and reports all appliance faults (i.e., washing machines, tunable dryers, stoves/cookers, etc.). As required, performs landscaping duties and assists with furniture shifting.
